One of the firms of property developer Johnny Ronan is appealing the judgment in the Bewley’s Café rent dispute that saw the annual sum paid by the iconic café slashed in half. A Circuit Court judge ruled in October that the rent paid by Bewley’s Café on Grafton St be cut in half to €738,000. Ronan’s RGRE Grafton Limited is the landlord of the building and the original rent was €1.46 million. The previous rent term expired in August 2022.
