The Central Bank has lodged High Court proceedings against a unit of fund manager Waystone, the Irish financial services giant that services hundreds of billions of euro of assets, to confirm a recent fine. The case was lodged by the Central Bank yesterday against the unit, Waystone Fund Management (IE) Limited. The regulator has retained the law firm McCann Fitzgerald to manage the case. The Central Bank is asking the High Court to confirm a fine imposed by the bank on Waystione Fund Management (IE) Limited (WFM) totalling nearly €400,000.
