Several dog shelters and animal welfare groups have applied to take judicial review proceedings against new regulations to ban the XL bully dog breed following a string of violent attacks in recent years. The six groups – My Lovely Horse Animal Rescue, Wicklow Animal Welfare, The Haven Rescue, Dogs Angels Ireland, Clare Animal Welfare and Working Animal Guardians – are represented by KOD Lyons, a leading public interest and campaigning law firm.
