The seeds of the Dublin Inquirer were planted at a dinner party in Kyrgyzstan in 2009. Sam Tranum was teaching journalism at the American University of Central Asia in Bishkek when a colleague invited him to his home. Lois Kapila was working as a journalist in the city.
