It raised a bumper funding round earlier this month that valued the company at nearly $5 billion (€4.8 billion) but now the live-streaming shopping app Whatnot has to answer some questions in Ireland about EU compliance. In recent weeks, the Irish tech regulator, Coimisiún na Meán, has contacted the US company to query its European operations based out of Ireland and to understand its compliance with the Digital Services Act.
