Ten minutes after Ronan Murdock and Brendan Kavanagh met, they were business partners. Murdock had been assured that Kavanagh could drive the technology leg of an educational start-up offering online grinds for Leaving Cert students at an affordable rate. A 2022 ESRI study suggested nearly three in five of them were availing of grinds and the figure now is likely higher.
