When the proverbial ribbon was cut on a €15 million expansion of the distillery in early 2024, it was also the underscoring of two decades of hard graft by the founders to get West Cork Distillers to this position.  John O’Connell, along with cousins Denis and Ger McCarthy, set up the distillery which produces whiskey, vodka and gin in 2003.
