Donegal businessman Paddy Doherty is buying the famous Queens pub in the coastal village of Dalkey. Doherty, who made his fortune as the founder and chief executive of the Electro Automation Group, paid about €3.5 million for the venue. The Queens pub was being sold by a group of private investors, and hospitality operators Eoin Doyle and Ray Byrne. It has secured planning permission for a 30-bedroom guesthouse to be built at the back of the venue.
