The ESB, ESB Networks and Coillte have launched appeal proceedings against the Commissioner for Environmental Information as they bid to overturn decisions about how much they spend on legal advice to fight environmental information requests. The semi-states were recently ordered by the Office of the Commissioner for Environmental Information (OCEI) to reexamine requests to release details about how much they rack up in legal bills challenging the release of environmental records they hold.
