OKX, the cryptocurrency exchange that has invested in an Irish base over the last several years, has instead secured its new EU licence in Malta. The move comes after the company opted to reshuffle its European operations last year and move more functions to the Mediterranean island. Now the company is shutting down one of its Irish-registered companies, according to documents filed with the CRO this week. OKX Europe Holding Company Limited was established in late 2023 and was among a number of companies the exchange set up in Ireland as it hired for various functions here. As previously reported…
