Day two of the hearing to injunct receivers from selling former Riverdance star Michael Flatley’s Cork pile began with a dramatic flourish.  Barrister Ronnie Hudson, representing the entertainer, informed the court that a neighbouring landowner wanted to purchase Flatley’s listed Cork mansion, Castlehyde. A deal had purportedly been done between this neighbour and William McManus, chief executive of Novellus, the alternative lender pursuing the dancer on foot of an unsatisfied guarantee on a €5.7 million loan to Flatley’s company Blackbird.
