Rippling, a human resources services company, has filed a lawsuit in the United States accusing a rival firm of placing a “spy” in its Dublin office to “systematically steal its competitor’s most sensitive business information and trade secrets”. Rippling opened its European headquarters in Temple Bar in Dublin 2 in late 2023 and announced plans to hire 100 people here. Its lawsuit alleges that among its employees was an unnamed mole working for US company Deel who was only uncovered after a “honeypot” trap carried out by security experts exposed the individual.
