Web Summit chief executive Paddy Cosgrave used a staff complaint against former director Daire Hickey to try to intimidate and blackmail him into giving up his Web Summit stakeholding for little to no value, it has been alleged in the High Court. Lawyers for Hickey, managing partner for PR firm 150 Bond and a seven per cent shareholder in the international tech event business, are opening his claim of shareholder oppression against the CEO.
