Irish embroidery artist Domino Whisker explores themes most of us prefer to avoid: loss, grief, and the quiet weight memories leave behind. Whisker’s Parenthesis, currently on display at Gormleys Dublin, is an exhibition of intricate hand-stitched works and larger tapestries. The works explore how textiles can hold memory – a tactile reflection on absence and resilience. “The work is less about the grieving process, but more my own memory of those people and those times, trying to capture memories that I want to keep in the front of my mind forever, memorialising them in a way,” Whisker told The Currency.…
