As the US zeroes in on Ireland’s pharma sector, airborne shipments of pharmaceutical exports carried by IAG out of the country have soared. IAG Cargo, the freight division of the aviation giant that owns Aer Lingus and British Airways, said it has seen a 22 per cent bump in tonnage of pharma shipments year on year, with Irish-origin goods making up a sizeable portion of that. Its Constant Climate business provides air freight for temperature-controlled cargo for the pharmaceutical sector.
