Four years ago, when Austrian entrepreneur Kilian Kaminski sat down with The Currency to discuss Refurbed, he made the assertion that his company could be the “green Amazon”. The marketplace for refurbished smartphones and electronics had just launched in Ireland and the chief executive was expecting Irish consumers would take a shine to second-hand electronics.
