A Swiss greentech player has acquired the operators of the Poolbeg incinerator. Zürich-headquartered and Japanese-owned Kanadevia Inova has acquired the company responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Dublin Waste to Energy plant at Poolbeg. No financial terms have been disclosed. The deal sees the Swiss company acquire Encyclis Ireland Operations Ltd and its 38-year contract to run the plant. The deal still awaits regulatory and stakeholder approval, which is expected mid-year.
