The Private Hospitals Association (PHA), a network of large independent hospital operators, is being disbanded. The private hospital network represents nine hospital groups which cumulatively employ thousands of healthcare workers. At a meeting this week, the board unanimously voted to voluntarily dissolve the association which traces its origins to 1988.
