A bitter dispute between French environmental services conglomerate Veolia and Unite the Union over union recognition for bin workers in the UK has spilt over into the Irish courts. The multinational, which operates in industries ranging from waste management to energy decarbonisation, filed a defamation case against the union in the High Court in Dublin on Monday.
