The new owners of Tathony House have outlined plans for a homeless hostel at the residential complex in the Dublin suburb of Kilmainham, where former tenants recently fought against a mass eviction order to vacate the property. Nearly 100 residents living there, including families with young children, were informed in October 2022 that they would have to leave the property by June 2023 as the then-owner, Tathony Holdings Limited, planned to sell the property.  Various tenants fought the eviction process, taking cases to the Residential Tenancies Board as well as protesting regularly in a bid to persuade Dublin City Council…
