An Irish tour operator caught up in a competition probe in Italy over the use of bots to hoard tickets for the famous landmark is planning to appeal a €1.4 million fine. City Wonders was probed along with several other companies for anti-competitive practices by buying up swathes of tickets for the tourist favourite in Rome and reselling them at a significant mark-up.
