RTÉ received a payment as part of a financial settlement reached with one of the suppliers on its partially failed IT project that was written down by €3.6 million, The Currency can confirm.  The Enterprise Resource Planning project, funded from the proceeds of RTÉ’s land sale in 2017, was to replace disparate, legacy finance and HR systems with one unified system.  While the project delivered a significant upgrade of RTÉ’s financial system, it did not deliver the HR modules.
