The Workman’s Club Ltd (WCL), a hospitality company behind 12 venues in Dublin, has applied to go into examinership on foot of guarantees of €10 million that were put in place several years ago without the knowledge or approval at the time they were put in place of its secured lender Cheyne Capital.
