Joint interim examiners have been appointed to Irish airline CityJet, following an emergency petition before the High Court on Thursday evening. It is the second time in five years the Irish airline has sought breathing space from its creditors due to the threat of insolvency. The winding down of a Lufthansa contract and airline leasing issues are among the “financial and logistical difficulties” facing CityJet, the court heard.
