Forbairt Órga Teoranta Limited is the latest private emergency accommodation provider to seek a planning exemption to continue using properties to house people seeking protection in Ireland. The company has received €19.5 million from the Department of Integration to house international protection applicants and Ukrainian refugees coming to Ireland since mid-2022. This includes accommodation provided at the 30-bedroom Clifton Court Hotel in Dublin, which was previously owned by the troubled hospitality entrepreneur Colm Wu.
