The An-124 Ruslan is a 69-metre-long cargo aircraft that is capable of carrying 150 tonnes. One such aircraft has been sitting on the ground at Toronto Pearson International Airport since February 2022 when Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The plane is owned by sanctioned Russian airline Volga-Dnepr. It was seized by Canadian authorities who are now running the rule over the aircraft to allow for its transfer to Ukraine.
