An Bord Pleanála has overturned permission for Eamon Waters’ plans to expand his accommodation offerings in the city centre opposite the multi-millionaire’s The Grafton hotel. In 2022, Waters snapped up Textile House on Johnson’s Place close to St Stephen’s Green. It was guided at €6.5 million. Last March, Dublin City Council granted permission to The Grafton Residence Unlimited — a subsidiary of the Co Meath businessman’s Sretaw Hotel Group — for a 50-bedroom annexe at the property.
