In a short appearance before the High Court on Monday, Paul Gardiner, barrister for Deel, confirmed that he had entered an appearance for the US multi-billion-dollar HR company defending a case taken in the Irish courts by rival US company, Rippling. However, he also indicated that he would submit a motion to challenge the jurisdiction of the court over three other defendants in the case – Deel CEO Alexandre Bouaziz and Deel company lawyers Andrea David Mieli and Asif Malik.
