The utilities regulator has identified safety risks with liquified petroleum gas networks supplying homes in rural Ireland, as a legislative loophole leaves many operators outside its licensing system. The Commission for Regulation of Utilities’ (CRU) concern over the potential risk of gas leaks from these networks is outlined in the watchdog’s latest risk register.
