Shopify has found refuge in Ireland from its quarrels with tax authorities in its native Canada. The e-commerce company recently came out victorious in cases against the Canadian tax authorities in Canada’s federal court. In one case, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requested that Shopify disclose six years’ worth of data on Shopify merchants. The other case related to a request sent by the Australian Tax Office to the CRA to hand over Australian merchant data.
