Ireland has been rapped on the knuckles by the EU for shortcomings in the implementation of rules for tackling terrorist content online. The European Commission referred Ireland to the Courts of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) for not fully complying with the Terrorist Content Online Regulation (TCOR). Portugal and Bulgaria were also referred to the court for failures in compliance. TCOR is a dedicated set of rules for online platforms and hosting services that require them to police their services for the dissemination of terrorist material.
