Goldman Sachs Alternatives has acquired the private equity-backed owner of one of Ireland’s oldest accountancy firms, Ormsby & Rhodes. British and Irish accountancy firm AAB said this morning that its deal with Goldman Sachs Alternatives to buy the business from private equity firm August Equity was subject to regulatory approvals. AAB acquired Ormsby & Rhodes in January and the Dublin firm then acquired Ryan & Crowley, an accountancy and advisory firm based in Dublin, in June.
