The Data Protection Commission (DPC) is set to contact the Arts Council over a data protection concern raised by a senior manager within the embattled agency in February.  The watchdog will make the move after The Currency revealed on Friday that concerns were raised internally that sensitive personal data provided by grant applicants at the start of the year may not have been stored and handled in line with GDPR requirements.  A DPC spokesperson said on Friday that it was not previously contacted by the Arts Council about the matter and would follow up with the agency.
