Justice Brian Cregan had some very strident words for Hayes Solicitors last week in the High Court when he characterised a letter the Dublin firm had written as either a “blatant lie or a misrepresentation”. It gave him severe concerns, he said at the time. Judge Cregan went so far as to question whether he would be able to trust future affidavits from the firm and asked it “to find some mechanism whereby those concerns can be assuaged”.
