The hereditary owner of the Barne Estate was given a “secret”, “untraceable” mobile phone to keep in contact with US-based construction magnate Maurice Regan, the High Court has heard. Under cross examinaion for a second day, Richard Thomson-Moore gave evidence that he never used or availed of the phone and “ready-to-go” SIM card given to him by a Barne employee in contact with Regan on October 12, 2023.  Thomson-Moore said he “brushed off” the offer from the farm manager and never touched the phone, which was left in his kitchen and subsequently removed, as he was using his own phone…
