Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, the German freight forwarding giant, quietly set up an Irish subsidiary 18 months ago and has gradually gained a foothold in the market here. That’s according to general manager for Ireland, Niamh Savage, who leads the nascent base in Dublin. Hellmann, with its €3.5 billion in annual revenue, is a freight forwarder connecting shipping, airlines, trucks, and customs authorities, and is well established in Europe but is a newcomer in Ireland, setting up the subsidiary at the end of 2023.
