Bridgehaven, a UK insurance firm, has bought up Irish insurer SureStone as an entry route to the EU market. SureStone is a Dublin-based insurance firm that has been in run-off since 2019, preparing a wind-down of the business. The firm ceased taking on any new business almost six years ago but continued to honour existing policies and maintained its regulatory approval from the Central Bank of Ireland.
