Last week, Kingspan secured regulatory approval for its acquisition of British steel roofing and cladding business Coverworld. The decision marked a significantly different outcome from the last time it dealt with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). In October 2019, the Cavan-based insulation giant moved to acquire another British business called Building Solutions (National) Limited, then owned by SIG, in a deal worth around €42 million.
