In a recent column for The Currency, aviation analyst Joe Gill argued that aviation leasing was the “crown jewel” in the Irish economic model.  Built on what he described as “a unique latticework of aircraft tax treaties with countries across the world”, Gill explained how Ireland had become the dominant player in aviation leasing (Irish lessors manage over 30 per cent of the worldwide fleet).
