Bookmate, a Russian-founded company now headquartered in Ireland, finds itself in a “unique and unfortunate position” as it navigates being sanctioned by both Ukraine and Russia. Bookmate is an e-books platform founded in Russia in 2007 but it relocated to Ireland several years ago.
