The Revenue Commissioners recovered €343,000 in an attempted fraud case last year, according to a new report from the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG). The details are included in the 2024 appropriation accounts for the tax and customs authority released by the C&AG earlier this week. The issue was flagged as an internal financial control issue.  At some stage during 2024, there was an attempted invoice redirect fraud involving one of Revenue’s good suppliers.
