The long-anticipated sale of Energia was announced today with at least six credible bidders whittled down to one winner – French private-equity investor Ardian. Ardian has bought Enegria from I Squared Capital, the US-based global infrastructure investment manager, in a deal worth at least €2.5 billion. That includes debt, which was at €632.3 million at the end of December.
