Last September 2, another link in the troubled Aperee nursing home chain broke. Aperee Cork Ltd, a BlackBee investment vehicle, was wound up as insolvent by order of the High Court. Accountant Gerry Murphy was appointed as liquidator in a petition moved by the company itself. Murphy is now trying to deal with the company’s assets, including a partially built 100-bed nursing home and creche facility sitting on a 6.43-acre parcel of land at Glanmire. Or so it is alleged. The site was acquired back in November 2022 by Aperee and is the subject of a contractual dispute with a lender.…
