Eastway Global Forwarding, a Limerick-based family business, is being acquired by Swiss logistics giant Kuehne+Nagel (K+N). Eastway is an aviation logistics firm, managing the transport of aircraft engines and parts as well as warehousing. The company, which has more than €38 million in turnover, was founded in 2001 by flight engineer Frank McNamara, who is now chairman while his son Frank McNamara Jnr runs the business as managing director. Its clients are airlines, lessors and maintenance repair and overhaul companies. It is an IATA cargo agent.
