More than 500 pubs and businesses have contacted local branches of FBD Insurance to find out if their policy covers losses arising from the Covid-19 lockdown, the High Court has been told. The Irish owned insurer is currently facing a slew of legal actions brought by restaurant and publicans over the non-payment of business interruption claims arising from the pandemic. More than 1,100 pubs have taken out cover with the insurer. A test case against FBD to thrash out the relevant issues is being brought by the Leopardstown Inn, Lemon & Duke, Sinnott’s Bar and Ireland’s oldest pub, Sean’s Bar.…
