Novellus Finance, an alternative lender linked to the McManus family, has provided loans to companies providing emergency accommodation for people seeking international protection in Ireland, new company filings show. Novellus is a lender specialised in short- to medium-term property loans across Ireland and the UK. As previously reported, it is owned by CEO Billy McManus and funded by Leicosa, the Swiss family office of billionaire JP McManus, a relative of the company’s chief executive. Until recently, the British business lent to Irish customers. Last year, Novellus Finance Ltd, the Dublin subsidiary set-up in 2002, started lending directly to Irish customers. …
