Kombeara, a drinks business based in West Cork, is raising €600,000 through EIIS funding in order to bring alcoholic kombucha to Ireland. The business, founded by Feargal Harrington in 2022, is based between Castletownbere and Ballingeary. The journey to bring the drink to market began with meeting his wife, involved two other very different businesses, and some childhood nostalgia.
