As a boy, Rick Larkin played on the grounds of Phibsborough Shopping Centre in the late 1980s. His father, Eugene Larkin — founder of the real estate company Twinlite — was then a small builder working on a handful of houses nearby in Dublin 7. “It wasn’t like it is nowadays,” Larkin recalls. “As kids, we were brought here and just left to roam around during the summer.
