Teleflex, the US medtech company, carved up its business last week that will see numerous divisions sold off to three buyers and bring its plant in Co Westmeath under private equity ownership. The US company operates its main European plant in Athlone, along with a base in Limerick, where more than €1 billion in revenue is regularly booked while it employs more than 830 people.
