Dublin City Council has rejected plans from waste and recycling entrepreneur Eamon Waters to turn a historic building on Camden Street Lower into a tourist hostel. Balrath Investments Unlimited had applied to change the use of 1-4 Camden Street Lower, which currently houses a gym and a Fresh supermarket, to a 463-bed tourist hostel. Balrath is one of dozens of property vehicles run by Waters through his Sretaw family office as he reinvest proceeds from the €1.2 billion sale of the Beauparc waste business.
